Nyengera village, Chivi – The local community is in shock following the death of 59-year-old Christopher Tsuro during a dispute with a thigh vendor over services unrendered.
The confrontation escalated violently, resulting in Christopher Tsuro’s fatal fall after being allegedly pushed by 48-year-old Jenipher Gandiwa, a local sex worker.
The incident occurred on October 13, 2024, and was confirmed by Masvingo Police Spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa.

According to eyewitness accounts, Tsuro arrived at the sex worker’s residence late at night, intoxicated and seeking companionship.
The two reportedly agreed on a fee of US$3 for the night; however, due to circumstances, they were unable to engage in sexual activity.
As morning broke, Tsuro demanded a refund, arguing that he was entitled to his money back since no services were rendered.

The sex worker complied with his request but requested that Tsuro leave her home afterward. When Tsuro refused to go, the situation escalated.
In a moment of conflict, Gandiwa allegedly pushed Tsuro away, causing him to fall and hit the back of his head on the ground. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, as a seemingly minor dispute quickly spiralled into violence.
In a troubling turn of events, after Chistopher Tsuro fell, the sex worker reportedly dragged his unresponsive body to the back of her house, placing his clothes beside him.
Christopher Tsuro last seen at a funeral in the village only for him to be found dead later that evening when Gandiwa returned home.
Authorities were alerted, leading to an investigation that uncovered a cut on the back of Tsuro’s head and blood at the scene, prompting police to arrest Gandiwa.
She is expected to face charges related to Christopher Tsuro’s death.
