ZAOGA FIF Overseer Dismissed for Adultery
Bindura – A Bindura-based ZAOGA FIF overseer, Joel Chinhema, has been dismissed from the church following serious allegations of adultery and financial impropriety.
Chinhema, who reportedly fathered children with two female congregants, was removed from his position last week by the church’s Board of Bishops.
The disciplinary action was taken by the Day-to-Day Committee, which is composed of 10 senior bishops and operates from the church’s headquarters in Waterfalls, Harare.
Chinhema is accused of embezzling church funds and engaging in multiple extramarital affairs.

According to sources, Chinhema admitted to his indiscretions, including fathering children with two women from the congregation.
His confession led to the church’s decision to relieve him of his duties.
“It’s deeply disappointing for someone in his position, who was seen as a father figure, to fail in leading an exemplary life,” a source revealed.

“As a married man and a leader, he violated the church’s motto, ‘Fear Not, Sin Not,’ and succumbed to temptations involving both women and church finances.”
Additionally, Chinhema was accused of child neglect, preying on widows, and sexually harassing a single woman from the church.
Reports suggest that he sent nude pictures to the woman in an attempt to coerce her into a relationship.
Sources also claim that Chinhema targeted divorced women and young girls who sought his guidance and prayers.
“He has been failing to provide for some of his children, and the mothers came forward to expose him,” another source explained.
“He has also been asked to vacate the church property in Bindura and return the GD6 vehicle he was using.”
Allegations of misconduct against Chinhema reportedly date back to his time as a junior pastor.
However, sources allege that some church leaders shielded him from accountability, enabling his rise to the position of overseer.
