Zim Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Now At 206
Zimbabwe's confirmed COVID-19 cases have increased as three people tested positive on Tuesday from 990 RDT screening tests and 581 PCR diagnostic tests that were conducted by the Ministry of Health and Child Child Care (MoHCC).
In a statement, MoHCC said of the 3 cases, two were recent returnees from Botswana while 1 was a local. The statement reads:
Three (3) cases tested positive for COVID-19 today.
These are returnees from Botswana (2) and one (1) local case who are all isolated. The local case is a contact of a known confirmed case.
Today 990 RDT screening tests and 581 PCR diagnostic tests were done. The cumulative number of tests done to date is 48 392 129 102 RDT and 19 290 PCR).
To date the total number of confirmed cases is 206; recovered 29, active cases 173 and 4 deaths, since the onset of the outbreak on 20 March 2020.
