Econet Set To Increase Data & SMS Bundles With Effect From Tomorrow
Econet Wireless is set to increase data and SMS bundles with effect from tomorrow following its recent announcement in a notice.
Econet said:
Please note that our data and SMS bundle prices will be reviewed effective Wednesday 17 June 2020.
The country’s leading mobile network operator (MNO) reportedly applied a 250% data price hike from the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority(POTRAZ) and has yet been approved.
In March, POTRAZ gave Econet the greenlight to increase data prices by 30c per megabyte and the latest review is within the threshold.
Data bundles are more affordable to consumers because they are merely promotions.
In May, Econet effected a price adjustment on its data bouquets as follows:
