20 Year Old Man Arrested For Setting Girlfriend On Fire
A 20-year-old man has been arrested for setting girlfriend on fire in Welkom, Free State South Africa.
Free State SAPS police have arrested a 20-year-old man for allegedly pouring paraffin on his girlfriend and setting her on fire in Thabong, Welkom.
The 15-year-old girlfriend’s body was found dumped in the bushes triggering a protest by residents.
Angry residents of Welkom in the Free State say they’re living in fear following the spate of killings of young women. The area has experienced a number of killings in which bodies of the victims were found dumped in bushes and dumping sites.
” We as the youth of Hani Park, we are very angry with this. We want it to end,” says one resident.
“This thing of a man going around killing young women is not sitting well with us. The justice system is not doing a great job,” added another frustrated resident.
