“Command economies don’t work” says Tendai Biti
Former Minister and MDC principal Tendai Biti blast Rbz directive of Banning Ecocash, cash in and cash outlets with immediate effect on twitter. Tendai Biti always comes with a critical yet simple narrative of economic issues hitting the nation.
“The banning of Ecocash payouts will not and can’t stop the parallel market. Only structural reforms can. This era of regulations, presidential decrees and exchange control directive is a dangerous period of dirigisme. Command economies don’t work. The illegitimate regime is clueless.” said Tendai Biti.
Advocate Biti does not agree with the initiative and is advocating for a free market. He went on to quote Winston Churchill:
