Madzibaba Bond Confesses to Murder as Ngozi Haunts Him
In a shocking turn of events, Madzibaba Bond Gumira, the well-known leader of the Johane Masowe Nyenyedzi Nomwe Apostolic sect, has handed himself over to the authorities and confessed to a murder that has left the community in disbelief.
The self-proclaimed prophet claims to be tormented by the spirit, or “Ngozi” in Shona, of the person he allegedly killed.
The details surrounding the murder remain shrouded in mystery, but according to reports, Madzibaba Bond confessed to shooting and killing a traditional healer, known as a “n’anga.” The circumstances surrounding the crime are yet to be revealed, leaving the public eagerly awaiting further information.
Madzibaba Bond, also known as the, arrived at the Ziko police station in Seke, Chitungwiza, seeking refuge from the relentless haunting of the alleged victim’s spirit. Witnesses claim that the prophet arrived at the station with his Toyota Fortuner covered in dust, claiming that he had been pursued by the restless soul.
Inspector Simon Chazovachiyi, the spokesperson for the Mashonaland East police, expressed the authorities’ desire to thoroughly investigate the matter. “We need time to gather all the necessary information concerning this case,” he stated.
Eyewitnesses have come forward with their accounts of the events leading up to Madzibaba Bond’s surrender. Tafadzwa Chitsa, who witnessed the prophet’s arrival at the police station, described how he seemed distressed and dishevelled. Chitsa stated,

Following the prophet’s surrender, the police discovered a bag containing a gun near the crime scene. Joshua Madongo, a resident of Ziko Industrial Area, claimed to have witnessed the prophet’s suspicious behavior.
“Vana vanga vachigadzirira kuenda kuchikoro pavandimutsa ndokuenda kumotokari iyi ndikaona yakavhurwa madhoo muporofita uyu ari kunze. Panguva iyi anga achitarisa mudenga achiti pane vanhu vari kumutevera vachida kumurwisa avo anga achiona iye bedzi.
“Ndazotiza ndaona aburitsa pfuti, iye akati ndisatiza achiti anoda kubatsirwa neni. Azodonhedza pfuti yacho pasi zvose nebanga rebakatwa, ini ndazoverera ndikaenda kunozivisa mapurisa avo vazouya vachitora muporofita uyu nepfuti yake,”
Madongo’s wife, Nomatter Gavhinya, confirmed Madzibaba Bond’s troubled state, stating,
“Mwana ashevedza baba vake achiti murungu wavo auya ndokuzoona kuti mumwewo munhu. Anga achitaura kuti ari kuteverwa nevanhu vanoda kumuuraya, achitarisa mudenga mune zvinhu zvaanga achiona iye oga.
Azonditevera aine pfuti ndikatiza, iye ndokuzodonhedza pasi pfuti iya nebakatwa. Pfuti yazotorwa nemapurisa, bakatwa rikasara riri ipapa pano pamusha izvo tava kutyira kuti rinogona kutikanganisa,”
As the investigation unfolds, Madzibaba Bond has been taken into police custody and will be questioned regarding the murder he confessed to. The community, still in shock, awaits answers and hopes for justice to be served in this chilling case.
