The male student arranged a fancy love proposal to his dream girl for prom night.

The girl is chauffeur driven into the school premises and has a whole red carpet laid for her.
Seems the script involved having her sit in a chair and the have the suitor walk up to her and get down on his knees and propose.
However, in all the excitement, girl throws away the script and the superficial arrangement. She runs straight into the arms of her boyfriend.
Credit to them, not following the script made it more realistic. The screams by other students as the two love birds fall into each others arms are testimony to the depth to which the act emotionally touched the on-lookers.

While this is common for senior year students in South African High schools, Zimbabwe is a different environment altogether.
Zimbabwean schools except the elite schools, have an ascetic attitude towards prom nights, love affairs and any other show of affection among students.
