People who use Starlink internet services before the firm is properly registered to operate in Zimbabwe risk being arrested, according to threats made by POTRAZ, the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe.

POTRAZ Director General Dr. Gift Machengete stated that in order for the business to begin functioning lawfully, the regulator wants it to comply with all legal requirements.
Dr Machengete said:
Anyone detected utilising Starlink goods or services in Zimbabwe will face immediate arrest.

“I chose not to respond and I figured it must be a publicity attempt.”
