ZRP Announce 2024 Police Recruitment Exercise

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has announced a new recruitment exercise for 2024 aimed at enlisting suitably qualified Zimbabwean citizens as General Duty Constables.

Health Ministry Scraps Math Requirement for Nurse Recruits

This rigorous training program, which will be conducted at the Mkushi Police Training Academy (formerly known as Morris Depot), will culminate in a Diploma in Police Studies offered in affiliation with the University of Zimbabwe.

Potential applicants must meet specific criteria to qualify for the program. These include:

  • WhatsApp masterclass
  • Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 22 years old.
  • Education: A minimum of five Ordinary Level passes, including Mathematics, English Language, and any other Science subject, achieved in no more than two sittings.
  • Physical Fitness: Male applicants must be at least 1.68 meters tall and weigh at least 59 kg, while female applicants must be at least 1.62 meters tall with weight proportionate to their height. Additionally, all candidates must be able to complete a 5 km road run in 20 minutes for males and 25 minutes for females.

ZRP Announce 2024 Police Recruitment Exercise

Interested individuals are required to submit handwritten application letters, including their contact numbers and a life history of 450 to 500 words, along with copies of their identity documents and educational qualifications.

These should be submitted in person to the Officer-in-Charge at the nearest police station by Monday, 8 July 2024.

The ZRP has emphasized that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews. The recruitment exercise is overseen by Superintendent A. Badza, who can be reached at [0242] 701164/701932 for further inquiries.

Commissioner-General of Police, Nyathi P., stated, “The Zimbabwe Republic Police does not engage third parties or charge any fees during the recruitment process. Applicants should be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.”
