Beit Scholarships Opportunities For Zimbabweans
Applications are now open for Beit Scholarships Partnership for the year 2020 in the UK and 2021 in South Africa.
The organization is offering a one-year program for masters in the UK and the rest of two years in South Africa. Both have research areas.
There are seven universities in the United Kingdom: Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow (bio-medical disciplines only), Leeds, Oxford, Strathclyde (engineering disciplines only), and St Andrews (computer science only). You need to first apply and accepted by a Beit partner university before applying to the Trust for a scholarship.
Beit Scholarships:
Students only from Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi and eligible to apply. These Scholarships are for postgraduate applying students and not for undergraduate ones.

Eligibility Criteria:
- All applicants except medical and veterinary doctors must be under the age of 30 on 31st December of the year of application.
- Doctors and vets must be under the age of 35 on 31st December of the year of application.
- Experience of work after completion of the degree is recommended.
- Doctors and vets should have completed 18 months of internship and should have 1 year posting in a rural(preferred) city of their home country.
- Citizens of Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.
- Applications should be for a one-year taught Master’s Degree (to UK universities) and a two-year taught Master’s in South Africa.
- The applicant must have honors on the undergraduate level.

- You need to apply for Beit Joint University Partnerships by applying to the above-mentioned universities.
- After going to their official webpages, apply( you can apply in more than one).
- As you are notified by the concerned university about your shortlisting do apply to the
- Beit Trust for the scholarship on Linked application form.
- Apply to Beit trust before 12 February 2020.
- Beit Trust will then select the most qualified and ask them for an interview by the national selection board in the above countries in March 2020.
- Applicants who have work-related experience as leaders have a plus point.
