Heartbreaking as Man Gets Lobola Refund

A man received a complete refund of his lobola as wife reignited flame with her former teacher who has since become a prosperous businessman.

Godfrey Nkala found himself receiving a substantial sum of R13,000 as a lobola refund from Mthandazo Matshilo Dube (47).

This follows after Godfrey’s wife, Nobubelo Thebe (25), made the life-altering decision to marry her former teacher, Dube, who had since transitioned into a successful businessman.

The surprising sequence of events began when Godfrey and Nobubelo tied the knot in the early months last year.

However, fate had a different plan in store for Nobubelo, leading her to enter into a marital union with Dube, a former teacher at Mkwabene Secondary School in Insiza South District.

Dube is alleged to have fallen in love with Thebe when she was a pupil at the same school.

An undisclosed source from Mkwabene Secondary School, who chose to remain anonymous, divulged that Mthandazo Matshilo Dube, who resigned from teaching in 2021, had reportedly developed romantic feelings for Nobubelo Thebe back in 2018. At that time, Nobubelo was a student in her final year of Form Four at the school.

Dube, who also doubles as the spokesperson for West Nicholson-Mberengwa road project has been married to an unnamed woman who died about three years ago.

When contacted for comment regarding the incident, Dube remained non-committal, neither confirming nor denying the allegations.

In response to the allegations, Nobubelo Thebe categorically denied any involvement in a marriage, asserting that she was not yet prepared to embark on such a commitment.
