Fuel situation in the country has worsened as fuel supplies deteriorate to alarming levels due to the weakening economy.

Recent speculations on social media say that some fuel stations now have very few fuel supplies looking at Trek stations’ recent update on fuel supply being shared on WhatsApp showing its incapacitation to provide fuel to all its branches across the country.

Fuel supplies for Trek are now limited accessible in Gweru, Bulawayo and some parts of Chinhoyi.

The past month has resulted in long queues at some fuel stations around the country and it seems as if the country will soon be facing the same situation again.

A motorist said that queues have been spotted in some cities recently due to the fuel crisis.

” I am just coming back from Mutare and on our way back we passed through Rusape and Macheke looking for petrol but fuel stations had no petrol and even diesel was in short supply, we had to buy petrol on the black market in Marondera due to long queues on Zuva fuel station where petrol was available”, he said.

People are now relying on the black market where the commodity is being sold at higher prices
