Murderous Soldiers To Face Severe Punishment
The government has announced that murderous soldiers who killed civilians during the August 1 Demonstrations will finally be prosecuted.
Six Civilians were shot and killed in cold blood by members of the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) using live bullets subdue the demonstrations.
The government has finally responded since the incident happened more than a year ago as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Internal Trade, retired Lieutenant General Sibusiso Busi Moyo confirmed that the Killer soldiers are going to be prosecuted in 2020.
The retired general commented on the issue during an Interview with Australian Publication.
“ We can expect prosecutions of those responsible to begin next year after the police and prosecution services have completed their post-inquiry investigations as a result of the ongoing task of implementing the commission’s key recommendations which include reforming legislation on law and order, freedom and the liberalization of the media and electoral reforms,”
However, Moyo did not go into specifics on why the matter had not been dealt with timeously.
