NECTZIM To Host The First Edition Of Parinodira Festival
The National Education and Cultural Trust of Zimbabwe (NECTZIM) will be hosting the first edition of the Parinodira Festival in Harare at Botanical Gardens next Saturday.
This festival is the first of its kind in Zimbabwe running under the theme Art Is Power teaching kids the importance of knowing their cultural heritage, arts, and wildlife awareness empowering children's mindset for life as NECTZIM has been working with the Primary and Secondary Education ministry for the past six years leading the construction of typical traditional homesteads at some schools across the country giving increased appreciation of all forms of art and unique cultural diversity.
The event will be an entire day of Edu-entertainment proving different activities which include exhibitions, music, poetry, storytelling, comedy as well as kids zone fun, which include traditional games, jumping castles and water slides.
Over the years NECTZIM has been doing different arts and cultural events in the country but now they are aiming to showcase cultural diversity through visual and performance by different artists at the event which includes Ammara Brown, Hope Masike, Gonoro sounds, st Joseph's Courteney Selous Marimba, Dj Simba, Stand up comedian ‘scala' and many more providing a platform for youth empowerment in terms of art.
