Word on the street is that the Government of Zimbabwe is set to refrain and barn private kombies in businesses from the CBD banks to accommodate Zupco kombies and buses.

Zupco for the past few months have been advancing into the transport business offering a ZW$1 for buses. Late last week the government started contracting shuttle buses contracting the privately-owned shuttles into their system charging ZW$2.This has come as a relief to the public who were queuing up for hours just waiting for the buses.

It is alleged that the government will barn the private shuttles paving way to the Zupco shuttles to dominate the transport business.

However, this move by the government is yet to be confirmed.
