To be a successful freelancer you must accept the fact that good organisation is key, you also need a clear work schedule and have to meet deadlines. Those are non-negotiables.
You also have to learn to be comfortable with putting yourself out there, marketing your skills, & negotiating contract terms and fees with your clients.
You will also need to keep an eye on the market to see gaps that you can fill with your expertise. You will have to find support in your strengths at the same time working hard to minimize your weaknesses.

– identify your skills that you can use to solve problems for organisations in a profitable manner
– Learn to market yourself and skills
– You need to be a smart researcher so as to provide relevant solutions and remain relevant
– be prepared to rejected but never stop
– you need to be organised, focused and disciplined
– you need to pay attention to your dressing and smell good
