Wife Seeks Court Order For Bed Wetting Husband
A Kuwadzana woman claims her husband urinates in blankets as a way of fixing her.
Sandi Chitumba, who was appearing at Harare civil court where she was seeking a protection order against her husband Wellington Mazuva, said the latter would do anything make her leave their matrimonial home.
She accused Muzuva of physical, emotional and s.e.xual abuse. “This man you see your worship is very heartless; he urinates in the blankets every day telling me that he does it purposely. “He insults me in front of the children throwing my clothes outside as well as shouting at me using obscenities.
“I have scars all over my body, said Chitumba. She said Muzuva once poured acid her clothes after suspecting her of cheating him with another man. “Mazuva poured acid on my clothes as a way of fixing me and he wanted to leave me with nothing.
“I have brought my clothes your worship for an exhibit. “He did that after suspecting me that I was having an affair with one of his friends,” said Chitumba.
She added: “I am now living in fear; he threatened to kill me before the day of our maintenance court because he does not want to maintain his children.
“From this court, I am going look for somewhere else to stay because he is going to kill me.” In response, Mazuva told the court that Chitumba had to apply for a peace order, not a protection order.
“I don’t want a protection order; she must apply for peace order because I don’t want to see her anymore. “She is a prostitute. I poured acid on her clothes after seeing a love message from a boyfriend.
The presiding magistrate Tildah Mazhande granted the protection order in Chitimba’s favour.
