ZERA Official Statement On The Actual Fuel Prices

The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZERA) has discredited a fuel increase notice that has been circulating on social media showing a hike in the fuel prices.

The new prices which have been circulating on a number of social media platforms show the price of petrol being sold for ZWL 23.97 from ZWL 18.28 whilst the price of diesel was said to have risen from its current price of 19.55 to 24.79.

ZERA released an official press statement on Twitter advising people that the prices which have been circulating on social media were fake and that there hasn't been any change in the fuel prices.

The false statement has been disregarded as some service stations like ZUVA had already changed their prices selling diesel for ZWL 24.79
