Ti Gonz Emerges The Biggest Winner at The Star FM Music Awards 2020
The Star Fm music awards 2020, dubbed #MusicInColour, were held last night at a glittering event and Ti Gonz came out as the biggest winner with six awards.
‘Imwembeu' as Ti Gonz is affectionately known by his followers, bagged awards in the Best African Pop Song Award, Best Newcomer Award, Best Collaboration Award, Song of the Year Award, Most Played Song on Star FM and the Best Male Artist Award categories.
Ever rising gospel singer Janet Manyowa, who dominated the Permican Awards, came second with two awards in the Best Gospel Song Award and Best Female Artist Award.
Nutty O a.k.a ABX was announced winner of the Best Zimdancehall Song Award.
The Best Hip Hop Song Award went to Takura while King 98 came tops in the Album of the Year Award.
Sungura musician Alick Macheso was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Other winners in different categories include Hilzy, Gary Mapanzure, DJ Stavo, Norman Masamba and Ngoma Ingoma.
Mambo Dhuterere was a notable absentee on the winners' podium of the Star Fm 2020 Music awards. Freeman, who won three awards at the Zimbabwe Music Awards last month, only took home the people's choice award.
