A Bulawayo woman who has been suspected of cheating by her husband chucked him out of the house after she came across messages on his phone in which he was instructing a traditional healer to curse her vagi_na.

It is reported that Mduduzi Ndlovu, after suspecting that his wife Mathar Ndlovu, a police officer, was cheating on him, he sought the services of a healer from Zambia to cast an ulunyoka spell on her, apparently for security reasons so that she stops seeking pleasure elsewhere.

The move, however, backfired when Mathar pried into his phone and bumped onto the messages and immediately chucked him out of the house.

It was also established that whenever Mduduzi, who is now based in Dete, Matabeleland North, visits Bulawayo to see his children he sleeps in the car as his wife doesn’t allow him in the house.

This came out at the Bulawayo Civil Court where Mathar was seeking a protection order against her husband claiming he was abusing her.

“I am applying for a protection order against my husband Mduduzi Ndlovu. He exhibits some violent behavior when he visits me. I would like him barred from visiting me at my house and workplace at ZRP Fairbridge Support Unit. When he comes to my house, he beats me in front of the children and when he comes to my workplace, he will be violent in front of workmates.

“Our marital problems worsened when I came across some messages in his phone in which he was communicating with a sangoma from Zambia while instructing him to cast ulunyoka on me,” complained Mathar.

She has no kind words for her husband whom she labeled an irresponsible man and a drunkard who spends money on beer.

However, presenting his side, Mduduzi accused his wife of cheating on him and also being a “drunkard”.

“She chased me out of the house in April last year. This was after I discovered that she was cheating on me. What happened is that I caught her with another man while getting cozy in his car and when I confronted them, the guy sped off.

She is also coming home drunk with different men and that is why she doesn’t want me at the house. She is ungrateful that I am the one who assisted her to be where she is now.

“Just imagine when we got married, she had three Ordinary Level subjects and I advised her to supplement. She passed and I then assisted her to join the police force. She is ill-treating me now because she is working and I am no longer employed,” lamented Mduduzi.

Mathar, however, refuted her husband’s claims that she was an alcoholic. She said she drank beer only on the day she came across messages on her husband’s phone in which he was communicating with a sangoma while instructing him to “centrally lock” her.

“On the day he said I came home drunk; I was stressed after I came across messages in his phone in which he was instructing a sangoma to cast ulunyoka on me. That was the only day I drank beer,” she said.

For the purpose of maintaining peace, the magistrate Adelaide Mbeure ordered Mduduzi not to verbally and physically abuse his wife or threaten her in any way.
