Zimbabwe has now recorded three new coronavirus cases bringing the total number of infections to 28,according to the Ministry of Health and Child Care.
Harare is now leading with a total number of thirteen cases, followed by Bulawayo which has ten cases. Mashonaland East has four confirmed cases, while Matabeleland North has one case. The rest of the provinces are yet to record Covid-19 positive cases.
A total number of 841 tests were done yesterday, giving a total of 4 159 diagnostic tests done to date the Ministry said.
As at 21:00 hours on 21 April 2020, from the 93 PCR results received from the NMRL, 3 were positive for COVID-19. Results for 65 samples are still pending. All the PCR tests done in Bulawayo today, were negative for COVID-19,’ reads part of the statement.
‘The ministry continues to be on high alert to the Covid-19 pandemic and would like to remind the nation that the most effective ways to protect yourself and others against Covid-19 are to practise good personal hygiene and exercise social distancing,’ said the ministry.
