Mai Titi Assists Marabha Who Is Battling For His Life
Comedian and Socialite Mai Titi has spearheaded crowdfunding to assist fellow Zimbabwean comedian of all time Charles Mirisi popularly known as Marabha to be used for his medical bills as he is reportedly suffering from memory loss.
The socialite donated $100 US and helped the comedian raise the money needed for his scan and checkups asking for help from the general public on his behalf and managed to raise 600 USD.
The comedian who is popular for the comedian show street theatre which he acted with Kapfupi is said to be suffering from convulsions where he just falls unconsciously anytime and anywhere.
Marabha’s condition is said to have started after he experienced a head injury which resulted in surgery.
According to his family, the doctors said his condition can be treated provided he has a scan so he can get the appropriate medication.
Kapfupi's manager Samuel Manjalima confirmed the case saying he is currently admitted at Omega medical centre.
“I can confirm that our staffer is suffering from mental loss after he did not complete his medication from a previous attack he suffered while we had parted ways,” Manjalima said.
“We have taken him to Omega medical centre where he is currently receiving treatment but the situation is pathetic and needs a collective approach in dealing with hence people in the arts sector should unite and assist him.”
It is further alleged that his wife deserted him and is currently being looked after by his brother and usually fell unconscious for five to six hours.
Manjalima said they are trying to assist him but cannot fully support him as he needs everything from clothing food and shelter.
“Marabha is a very essential member in the arts industry but his life is not pleasing the whole of Zimbabwe should chip in because our organization alone cannot stand it all,” lamented Manjalima.
