Fuel Price Goes Up For RTGS Payments & Remain The Same Price For Us$ Payments
The price of fuel has gone up but the price of petrol and diesel in US dollars remains unchanged.
Petrol price has gone up from ZWL$71.62/litre to ZW$93.15, but operators can still sell below the cap depending on their trading advantages. Diesel price also went up from ZWL$62.77/Litre to ZWL$83.36.
In a statement the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) said the price adjustments take effect today, the 5th of August 2020.
These adjustments come as the Zimbabwe dollar traded at 80 to the US greenback at Tuesday’s foreign exchange public sale.
A weighted average rate of 80.46 was recorded Tuesday, up marginally from the 76.75 which was recorded last week.
ZERA also said the price of petrol and diesel in US dollars remains unchanged. The price was gazetted on the 24th of June 2020 at $1.28 and $1.09 respectively
