A 21-year-old young man has been arrested and dragged to court for murder after killing his girlfriend.
Shepherd Ndemera (21) from Madhovi Village under Chief Seke allegedly killed his girlfriend Nokuthula Beverly Shana by stabbing her with a screwdriver and dumps her body in the bush.
Chitungwiza Regional judge Arnold Maburo remanded Ndemera in custody to 1 September and he was told to apply for bail at the high court.
It is the state’s case that on the 16th of August 2020 at around 2000 hrs Ndemera met the now-deceased near Seke 3 High School in Seke Chitungwiza and the two agreed to spend the night together in Chitanda village under Chief Seke in Dema.
The court heard that the two later had sexual intercourse inside a Toyota Carina registration number ACD 9225.
However, a misunderstanding between the two arose and Ndemera allegedly stabbed Shana on her face twice using a screwdriver.
The accused later dumped the deceased in a nearby bush and fled.
