Caps United are at an advanced stage of securing a sponsorship deal with a local energy company, Trek.
Financial problems at the green machine had plagued the team in the last couple of seasons and this deal is set to stop that rot.
Although the value of the package is being kept under wraps, SportBrief has it on good authority that Makepekepe are finalising the deal with Trek Petroleum.
“We are just tying on loose ends but its almost a done deal. We are about to sign a sponsorship agreement with Trek Petroleum and everything us expected to be done by mid-week next week,” a source within the Makepekepe ranks told Sportbrief on condition of anonymity.
United joins the elite squad of Highlanders and Dynamos who are both bankrolled by another energy giant, Sakunda.
