Sugar Daddy Burns Teen Lover To Death

A teenage girl died from burn wounds after her lover doused her with petrol and set her alight under unclear circumstances.

Mangaka Manjani was taken to hospital with burn wounds on 90% of her body. Tragically, she died at the Bongani Regional Hospital in Welkom, Free State, not long after being admitted.

Her 37-year-old boyfriend was arrested for allegedly dousing her in petrol and setting her alight on Thursday, 20 October. South Africa Police spokesman Captain Steven Thakeng said the 19-year-old allegedly told a nurse that her boyfriend was responsible for her injuries before she died.

“The boyfriend was also admitted to the hospital as he also sustained burn wounds, and is currently under police watch.”

Thakeng said the motive for the gruesome attack was unknown, and a case of murder was registered at Thabong Police Station.

The case was postponed to 8 November as the suspect is admitted in hospital.
