However, Job Sikhala remains locked up. His trial is beginning today.
14 political prisoners known as the Nyatsime 14 have been granted bail by Zimbabwe’s High Court after 5 months of illegal detention which is contrary to the country’s constitution that says BAIL is a right!
Only @JobSikhala1 is still in prison from the Nyatsime prisoners. pic.twitter.com/88WiGM08LX

Citizens have been quick to pour cold water on the development saying it's a sideshow for the Commonwealth observer team that is in the country.
There is nothing to celebrate about the release of #Nyatsime14, it’s part of the script and choreography to coincide with the visit of commonwealth delegation. It’s only in dysfunctional societies that granting of bail is celebrated. Does “education” make people this naïve?

Government spokesperson Nick Mangwana hinted on Job Sikhala getting bail today in what many have described as a scripted sideshow.
The trial starts today. It’s always fair for everyone who is accused to have their day in court and face their accusers. That’s the beauty of our Criminal Justice System. Let the evidence be presented and tested and our impartial courts make a ruling. https://t.co/zlehlY0wrh
