"She's Not the Mother of Zimbabwean citizens"

Renowned writer and playwright, Tsitsi Dangarembga was on the receiving end of a wave a backlash on Twitter after she commented that Nelson Chamisa's wife should not be referred to as Amai.
Celebrating Mrs Chamisa's birthday on Sunday, the Citizens Coalition for Change official twitter handle had referred to her as “mother of the citizens”.
We have to resist this, not get carried away and keep our feet on the ground. The respectable Mrs Chamisa who I don't even know is the wife of Zimbabwe's biggest opposition leader. She is not the mother of Zimbabwean citizens. You have no right to claim she is my mother.

Tsitsi then commented,
“We have to resist this, not get carried away and keep our feet on the ground. The respectable Mrs Chamisa who I don't even know is the wife of Zimbabwe's biggest opposition leader. She is not the mother of Zimbabwean citizens. You have no right to claim she is my mother.”
In a further comment as the debate raged on, Tsitsi added:
“Yes this me and thank you for sharing your opinion. In my opinion titles should be earned, not just given. Mai Chamisa is not even the first lady of Zimbabwe currently. If they said the first lady of CCC, that would be factual, as well as emotional. As it is, it's just emotional”
The award winning author refused to back down. She dug deeper:
“I understand that. It is also emotional because de facto WaMnangagwa is the president whether we like it or not. What is factual is that his legitimacy is questionable. That fact is a good starting point for bringing a legitimate president into office.”
As expected, the backlash began:

Surely no one is being asked/forced to call Mrs Chamisa Amai. People complaining about something which no one ask them to do are known insurrectionists like Tsitsi Dangarembga, we know her history, she was Education Secretary of the Mutambara outfit, which is dead.

I don't like how Tsitsi approaches several topics here but scathing attacks on her persona by CCC fanatics is the reason that cabal should be nowhere near power
