This unfortunate incident unfolded on Wednesday morning at Mukuti Junction along the Harare-Marondera Highway.
The collision took place when a Honda Fit, crammed with nine passengers, crashed into a VW vehicle.
The Honda Fit was heading towards Harare but swerved into the path of an oncoming VW, leading to a fatal outcome for seven people, including the driver, who perished instantly.
Two passengers in the Honda Fit sustained serious injuries, while those in the other vehicle suffered minor wounds.

A witness shared that they encountered trapped passengers desperately crying out for help, while some had tragically already passed away.
We rushed to the scene of the accident after we heard a loud bang and when we got there, we found some of the trapped passengers screaming for help while others had died.
The deceased individuals were transported to Marondera Hospital Mortuary, while the injured were taken to the same medical facility for treatment.
Confirming the incident, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, the spokesperson for the Zimbabwe Republic Police, assured that the identities of the deceased will be disclosed once their next of kin have been informed.
