Glen View Area 8 in Flames Again
The Glen View Area 8 Home Industry Complex along Willowvale Road in Harare was engulfed in flames during the early hours of Sunday morning.

According to eye witnesses, the fire started in a phone repair cabin where it is believed that there was an electrical spark.
The people using the little cabin failed to control the spark and it generated into a flame that quickly spread through the area.
The business operators at the premises have decried the lack of fire protection and have said all the issues that they raised after the last inferno have not been addressed.
The fire resulted in the destruction of property worth thousands of dollars, including newly manufactured chairs, beds, kitchen cupboards, lounge suits, tables, and wardrobes.

The Glen View Area 8 Home Industry Complex has unfortunately been affected by fire multiple times, raising concerns among some social media users about the causes behind these incidents.
Despite the government presenting fire trucks just before the elections, there was no fire trucks to put out the fire.
The place has no fire guards and there are no water points for the occupants to use in case of a fire.
The waste management and safety standards are also low as wood shavings, oils, thinners, paints, etc are not handled according appropriately.
