Dzivarasekwa Oxford Study Centre has come under scrutiny following allegations that teachers and even the principal are dating their students, ZiMetro News has learned.

The school, which is located in the heart of Dzivarasekwa in Gunhill suburb, is at the center of a controversy that has saddened the community with stories that have apparently ended in the death of a 15-year-old.
According to an insider who spoke on condition of anonymity, the school accounting teacher once invited a student from school to a sleepover and spent two days with her.
Due to the nature of the story, ZiMetro News was advised not to publish the names of the students involved, as this would taint their images, but to hand the report to the police who are investigating the alleged abuse.

Tatenda Kadenge Chikumbirike, the school’s principal, did not respond to messages sent to their active Facebook page and went on to post new posts on the page and his account, ignoring the publication.
Pupils who spoke to the publication at a funeral for one of the school’s students revealed similar ordeals, as well as allegations that the principal was bedding a student (who cannot be named due to her age) who was now not paying school fees due to her relationship with the principal.
In Zimbabwe, sexual abuse has emerged as the most prevalent type of violation perpetrated against children, closely followed by physical abuse.
