Forced to Dance Naked for Failure to Repay Debt
In a shocking incident that left the Bulawayo community in disbelief, a man was paraded naked and forced to dance in front of onlookers after he failed to repay a debt.
Family Man Ends Own Life Over Huge Debt
The humiliating ordeal unfolded at Northend shops in Bulawayo, leading to legal consequences for the perpetrator.
According to B-Metro, the incident began when Mitchel Shaba from Northend confronted Bothwell Chimbunde, who owed him money.
Chimbunde had borrowed US$50 from Shaba’s wife back in July. However, Chimbunde fell ill, was hospitalized for a month, and was discharged in August. Last month, he made a partial repayment of US$20.
This partial payment didn’t sit well with Shaba, who followed Chimbunde and accused him of non-payment.
In a fit of anger, Shaba physically assaulted Chimbunde with a belt and slapped him repeatedly.
He then confiscated Chimbunde’s belongings, including his blanket, flash drive, health card, and indemnity card.
The situation took an even more humiliating turn when Shaba ordered Chimbunde to strip naked and then forced him to march to the Northend shops.
