Bezbets Struggles to Pay Out Winning Punter
A betting company known as Bezbets is under fire in Zimbabwe for allegedly failing to pay out a punter who made an impressive win of over US$5,000.
What makes this incident even more astonishing is the suspicion that the company might have altered its terms and conditions following the bettor’s remarkable success.

The Herald reports that for the past year, a customer whose identity is being withheld has consistently placed bets exceeding US$50 and experienced success in some of these bets.
The pinnacle of his winning streak occurred in March when he secured a substantial sum exceeding $5,000.
This bettor had been regularly withdrawing his winnings until Bezbets recently refused to honour his payout.
Efforts to obtain a statement from Mr. Bernard Zieve, a representative of Bezbets, proved futile as he staunchly declined to engage with the media.
Frustration among Bezbets punters has grown, with many voicing their complaints against the company for not paying out their winnings when their bets exceeded US$50.

One disgruntled punter, who encountered a similar issue, voiced his frustration:
They have been paying me my money all along using the same bets which I used to place similar bets. Today, because I have won more than US$5,000, they are now refusing to pay out.
They now insist that their rules and regulations do not permit betting stakes that exceed US$50 per stake, and yet all along I have been exceeding their so-called limit. And they have been paying out.
What raises eyebrows in this case is that the complainant points out that the company’s terms and conditions did not specify a maximum stake, leaving room for uncertainty regarding the sudden change.
Bezbets’ terms state that the minimum stake per transaction is set at $2,000 and do not mention any US dollar stakes.
Bezbets’ payout limits are revealed to be a single bet of US$15,000, causing punters to question the company’s refusal to pay out in full.
As the controversy surrounding Bezbets continues to intensify, outraged punters and the betting community at large await a response from the company and hope for a resolution that brings justice to those who feel wronged.
The betting landscape in Zimbabwe finds itself under scrutiny, with the spotlight firmly on Bezbets and its alleged rule change following a punter’s significant win.
