Homeless Man Collapses in Harare CBD
Zimbos on social media are expressing sadness after a man collapsed and died in the streets of Harare earlier this morning.
The unidentified man was walking at the intersection of Leopold Takawira and Bute Road.
Witnesses who spoke to H-Metro said he seemingly lost his balance as he walked and crumbled to the ground. In an instant, he had lost consciousness and died in the street.
Pictures captured by another witness on the scene show the man lying lifeless on a road pavement, face down.
Homeless Man Collapses in Harare CBD
His clothes were filthy, and he looked like a homeless man. His pants were sagging, and dirty boxer shorts showed as he lay on the ground.
It is still unclear what caused the man to collapse and die. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) are yet to confirm and reveal more details about the incident.
This is not the first time such a tragic incident has happened in Harare.
Shopping Woman Collapses in Harare CBD
On 20 December, a woman went into the Harare CBD to buy Christmas clothes for her children. As she went about her shopping, she complained of shortness of breath before she collapsed and died at Copa Cabana in Harare.
In a similar incident, Mison Sere, the winner of the Mr Ugly pageant in 2015 also collapsed and died at the age of 51. This occurred at his family pad in Mabvuku, where he collapsed while answering nature’s call in the toilet.
