According to sources, Dube had visited Emganwini suburb to collect his children for a weekend visit. However, tensions flared when his in-laws accused him of neglecting child maintenance payments. Fuelled by anger, Dube stormed into the kitchen, brandishing a knife.

His father-in-law attempted to intervene, but Dube's rage was uncontainable. He viciously attacked both his father-in-law and mother-in-law, stabbing them in the arm, breast, and thigh. As the chaos unfolded, neighbors rushed to the scene, witnessing the gruesome scene.

Dube fled, pursued by onlookers who eventually apprehended him. They delivered him to Nkulumane Police Station, where he awaited trial on two counts of attempted murder. Tragically, before his court appearance, Dube took his own life in police custody.

The authorities remain tight-lipped about the incident, leaving the community stunned and seeking answers.

Meanwhile, in a move that has sparked widespread concern among Zimbabweans, the Patriotic Alliance (PA) party in South Africa has called for the mass deportation of undocumented immigrants, including those from Zimbabwe.

The party, led by Gayton McKenzie, has vowed to use its newfound political power to push for the expulsion of undocumented immigrants, raising fears of potential xenophobic violence and humanitarian consequences.
