Tinashe Nengomasha and Samantha Mtukudzi Back in Court
Hey gossip lovers! Buckle up for the latest twist in the ongoing saga of the late Zimbabwean music legend Oliver Mtukudzi’s family. Former football star Tinashe Nengomasha and his ex-wife, Samantha Mtukudzi, are back in court, and the drama is real!
Mutukudzi-Nengomasha Divorce: Couple to go 50:50
On Friday, the ex-couple faced off over the valuation of their Hillside property. Tinashe filed an urgent application to stop Samantha from selling the house, claiming she had seriously undervalued it. This courtroom showdown comes after their marriage was officially dissolved in May 2023 by High Court Judge Justice Neville WaMambo. Tinashe was granted custody of their minor children, but the drama didn’t end there.
Samantha, who filed for divorce back in December 2018, initially sought custody of their two kids and even included a claim for their adorable Maltese dog, Alvin Jazz.

Despite Tinashe’s attempts to challenge the divorce, the court ruled that their differences were irreconcilable. They were ordered to sell their Hillside home and split the proceeds, but agreeing on the property’s value has been a nightmare.
Tinashe has accused Samantha of neglecting their children and not paying her court-ordered share of $50 per child in monthly maintenance. Under the current arrangement, Samantha gets to see the kids every weekend, during public holidays, and for half of each school holiday.
The divorce petition also saw Samantha requesting a share of their belongings, including furniture from their homes in Harare and South Africa, salon equipment, cars, and gym gear. As the court battles continue, the disputes over property and child custody highlight just how messy things can get when a high-profile marriage falls apart.
