ZIMSEC June Exams for O & A Level Are Back
O' Level candidates will pay $11 at public schools and $24 for those at private schools.
This year's Ordinary (O) and Advanced (A) Level candidates have been given the greenlight to sit for their June ZIMSEC exams.
Zimsec confirmed the development Thursday following a two-year hiatus due to interruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on the school calendar since 2020.
Exam fees have been set at last year's scale and the same applies for November.
Candidates from public schools will pay US$11 per subject for ‘O' Level while those at private schools will fork out US$24.
Private candidates will also pay US$24.
For ‘A' Level, those at public schools will part with US$22 a subject while candidates at private schools and private candidates will fork out US$48 respectively.
This amount also applies to private candidates.
A March 15 deadline has been set for all payments which can be made in local currency at the interbank rate of March 8.
“Payment of June registration fees in ZWL will be done between the 8th and the 15th of March 2023 at the interbank rate prevailing as of the 8th of March 2023. Zimsec will announce the rate on the 8th of March 2023.”
Meanwhile, Zimsec announced that all candidates who sat for the 2022 exams and feel aggrieved about their results can apply for remarking.
This will attract a fee of US$20 per subject at the prescribed interbank rate.
“Request for remark should be submitted through and supported by School Head where the candidate wrote examinations. The cost is US$20 or the equivalent per subject. Request for remark should be made within 42 days of publication of results.
