What happened to Duta on WhatsApp?

DUta banned on WhatsApp

Many have this question since Duta stopped broadcasting their real-time updates on WhatsApp on 25 November 2019.

A lot of us have been relying on Duta to get updates of sports, entertainment, politics etc right on WhatsApp and the blackout has really affected us. On the Duta Facebook page people are lost and they are asking questions like:

We can’t access Duta on watsap anymore, why?

Duta, where have you gone to?

HEY Duta I need some assistance…I no longer get WhatsApp updates, wat should I do..which numbers are active now?

We found the following statement that would explain the silence.

‘Please note that with effect from 25 November 2019, all duta services have been closed on WhatsApp. This follows after Duta fails to cooperate with WhatsApp’s terms and conditions on International Messaging service.’

This announcement comes just after Duta was banned by been banned by the most popular Internet-host, WIKIPEDIA in October. The channel, DUTA-WIKI-SEARCH was shut off since it was breaking laws pertaining to Internet access.

The most popular messaging service, WHATSAPP, have also followed up and broke their connection with DUTA.

This led to the complete shutdown of the Indian run host which have by now dominated most African countries in supplying World News, Sports updates among a few.

As duta was trying to merge relations with WhatsApp, it declared to its users that there will be new WhatsApp approved groups to which Duta services will be active, but this later failed since the relationship between Duta and WhatsApp has irretrivably broken down.

What are your thoughts on this? How have you been benefitting from Duta? Do you think WhatsApp is right in blocking them?

Leave your thoughts in the comments below. Share this with your friends so they can also get to learn what happened to our loveable Duta.
