Twyg, working with the British Council, is looking for six storytellers from six southern African countries to document the journeys of six designers who have recently participated in the Circular Design Lab.

Deadline: 9 January 2020

British Council and Twyg are holding an open call for multi-media storytellers to skilfully document the journeys of designers. If selected, they will follow the story of the designers participating in the Making Matters Circular Design Lab.

We invite writers, multimedia storytellers, videographers, photographers, and audio artists in the following countries to apply: Malawi, Zambia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and South Africa.

One storyteller in each country will be selected to develop and create a narrative that will create and share a deeper understanding of the Sub-Saharan Africa design sector. The storytellers should have an interest in design and the circular economy.

The successful candidates will show the potential to creatively use one or more media and to sensitively construct a narrative about a designer and her/his process.

The successful candidates will participate in a workshop in Cape Town, where storytellers will share ideas, explore creative storytelling, and connect with each other and other professionals.
