Air Zimbabwe To Place Staff On Indefinite Unpaid Leave Until Operations Normalise

Air Zimbabwe released a staff notice yesterday announcing a staff rationalisation as it plans to place some of its staff members on indefinite unpaid leave until operations normalize.

The Airline will be placing some of its staff members on indefinite unpaid leave effective 23 April until the travel restrictions have been lifted.

Air Zimbabwe has announced its staff rationalisation decision as the Airline operations have ground to a halt since most passenger travel destinations are on lockdown with travel restrictions leaving the organisation without any revenue inflows.

The Organisation has expressed concern over the funding of staff salaries as its operations have been affected by the Coronavirus outbreak as well as the 21 day national lockdown which resulted in travel restrictions.

Salaries for the month of April will be paid in full to all staff members.
