Zinara Increases Toll Fees For September 2022
The Zimbabwe National Roads Authority (ZINARA) has hiked toll gate fees effective 29 August 2022.
The move was done in a bid to deal with exchange rate dynamics.
The roads administrator said the hikes are in terms of section 4 of Statutory Instrument 32 of 2021 in which toll fees were pegged in foreign currency and are paid in Zimbabwean dollars at the prevailing auction rate.
The new Zinara tool fees for September 2022 are as follows:
Light motor vehicles ZW$1 100
Minibuses ZW$1 650
Buses ZW$2 200
Heavy vehicles ZW$2 750
Haulage trucks ZW$5 500
The residential discount per term is now ZW$22 000.
Motorcycles shall remain excluded from paying toll fees
“Toll fees in foreign currency remain unchanged.”
This is the second time in the month of August that ZINARA hiked toll fees in Zimbabwe.
Prices of commodities have also fluctuated which is causing high prices on almost everything in the country and Zinara has hiked its toll fees to keep up with exchange rates on the market.
In recent times Zesa and Zupco have both increased their prices.
