Zambia reduces prices of basic commodities
Shops in Zambia have reduced prices of basic commodities in respect of the currency gaining value on the world market
Zambian Kwacha was one of the worst currencies in the world but has improved since Hichilema Hakainde got into office last year.
The coming in of the opposition party United Party for National Development UPND led by President Hichilema Hakainde made sure that the Zambian kwacha stabilised to become the second best performing currency worldwide.
The UPND spokesperson Joseph Kalimbwe announced the reduction of prices of essential goods and services.
In a tweet Joseph Kalimbwe posted
Shoprite has reduced the prices of hundreds of its items across Zambia due to the increasing strength of the Zambian Kwacha against the US dollar. Next, we are waiting for MultiChoice & DSTV to drop prices too. Our party is leading our people into a future of untold prosperity !!
