This day, 21 September 2022, marks 100 days since Sikhala and Sithole were jailed at Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison for inciting public violence.
The Executive Director of Amnesty International Zimbabwe, Lucia Masuka, said the continued arrest and remand of the opposition legislators reveals the politicization of the justice system in Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe is too divided, Nelson Chamisa
The leader of CCC Citizens Coalition for Change leader Nelson Chamisa has said Zimbabwe is too divided
This comes after a series of tweets that CCC is divided and is not organized which comes after the party has failed to make Job Sikhala to be release.
Most tweets were saying Nelson Chamisa is the one responsible for the remanding of Job Sikhala as he is failing to help Sikhala out and has neglected him while he is a party activist.
In a tweet Nelson Chamisa said
Zimbabwe is too divided, Nelson Chamisa
“Toxicity and hate dominate us. Many are too wounded and bitter. We need each other. We must have a forgiving spirit, that heart of forgiveness. And true leaders must lead and heal the nation into peace, reconciliation, prosperity, and happiness!”
One of the comments by the followers replied to Nelson Chamisa saying
“I agree my President we all have different roles to play in the struggle, but vamwe vakaona kunge varinani kudarika vamwe yet we are fighting against one thing, we need to respect everyone’s role, we are all Zimbabweans hoping for a better future”
