Developing: Kariba Water Levels Too Low For ZESA
Power utility will have to shutdown power station till January 2023
The Zambezi River authority has issued a statement that water levels in Kariba Dam are now critically low that hydropower stations will have to be shutdown with immediate effect. Power generation will only resume in January 2023.
Kariba supplies 70% of power to Zimbabwe. This means load-shedding will increase in Zimbabwe.
