Death as Man Tries to Discipline Misbehaving Pretty
The cousin, Alois Zvada, wanted to play the role of peace-maker in a dispute involving Shepherd Zvada and his daughter Pretty.
A man who wanted to discipline her daughter for misbehaving, ended up accidentally pushing his cousin out of anger, resulting in a serious head injury that led to his death.
The cousin, Alois Zvada, wanted to play the role of peace-maker in a dispute involving his brother Shepherd Zvada (45) and his daughter Pretty, who was said to be misbehaving.
The accused, Shepherd, appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Dennis Mangosi yesterday charged with culpable homicide and was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.
Prosecuting, Mr Zebediah Bofu, alleged that on December 29 last year at around 10pm, Shepherd came from a beerhall with the now deceased Alois.
He intended to discipline his daughter, Pretty, for alleged misbehaviour.
As he tried to assault his daughter using a stick, Alois grabbed him as a way of trying to restrain him from assaulting Pretty.
