Former Zanu PF national commissar Saviour Kasukuwere has entered the 2023 presidential election race.

The former Zanu PF member said that the time has come to show the world that “Zimbabwe is for all of us”. Kasukuwere is positioning himself as “The Voice of the Nation”.

Solomon Harudzibwi said:

Here is my hunch without evidence. Kasukuwere dribbled the system. He bought the flight ticket to Harare He has no intentions of being on that flight.

Probably made it to Zim by road. Used his CIO links to leak the manifesto to gauge the atmosphere and create a decoy.

Political analyst Pedzisai Ruhanya posed a question:

Suppose there is no clear winner on 23 August and Kasukuwere is responsible for that scenario, who would Kasukuwere align with between Nelson Chamisa and ED?

This is a clear question that people must grapple with. Will he align with ZANU PF or CCC, for what benefits?

Excitable Jahman Adamsky equated the Kasukuwere to Man City goal scoring machine Erling Haaland whilst elevating Chiwenga's role and status in Zanu PF to Pep Guardiola's.

Basically, what has happened & will happen is this!

ZanuPF's manager, Pepe Chiwenga, has bought Haaland Kasukuwere in on loan.

Haaland Kasukuwere smashes 36% of votes at the ballot beating both Mnangagwa & Chamisa

Haaland Kasukawere leads a GNU government on a ZanuPF ticket.

Zimbabwe starts the healing process it's much needed.

Kasukuwere’s lawyer Jaqueline Sande successfully filed his nomination papers. The lawyer refused to say Kasukuwere’s whereabouts for now.

The Zimbabwean aspiring presidential election candidate Saviour Kasukuwere has brewed a storm of confusion on the political terrain after he sold a dummy to Harare authorities and misled the public through the media on his move by pretending to have flown into the country after five years to file his nomination papers today ahead of general elections on 23 August when he didn't.

After buying into Kasukuwere's ruse, through which he has now tied himself in knots of indecision and confusion, it has been established that he did not fly back home through Airlink flight No.4Z104 even though his name was on the passenger manifest.

Passenger 34 – as he was on the list – didn't fly and land in Harare. Apparently, he checked in but didn't fly after he was told that Zimbabweans security agents were waiting for him at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare.

Security agents were seen at the airport waiting ahead of that flight. This means Kasukuwere's cunning plan effectively worked to draw out his enemies and show that he will be arrested if he comes, while it also created uncertainty and confusion, as well as a credibility or trust gap on his part.

As things stand, Kasukuwere is in Johannesburg, South Africa, while nominations are underway in Harare.

He can file his nomination papers in absentia, although the issue of him not being “ordinarily resident” in Zimbabwe might be used to block him if the issue is raised by his detractors.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his rival, main opposition CCC leader Nelson Chamisa have already filed their papers.
