Blue Circle Bus Accident Death Toll Rises

A bus owned by Blue Circle Bus had a head-on collision with a bus owned by City Bus early on Saturday morning.

The accident happened at Chicago Village after the railway line at around 2 am on Saturday.

The fatal accident occurred midnight along Masvingo-Beitbridge Rd.

At the time of publication, 9 people were reportedly killed (with 7 having died on the spot) while 39 were seriously injured.

Bodies were taken to Beitbridge District Hospital mortuary and injured are admitted at the same hospital.

The Blue Circle Bus was travelling from Karoi to Beitbridge whilst the City Bus was on its way to Harare from South Africa.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has yet to issue an official statement confirming the incident.

Footage from the accident scene seen by the media paints a harrowing picture of the accident scene.

The front parts of both buses were destroyed, with debris scattered across the highway.

Tragically, the bodies of the accident victims were strewn all over the scene of the accident.

A Mutare teenager’s audacious plan to acquire a new cellphone through illicit means resulted in a tragic loss of life.

The 17-year-old teenager, whose identity remains protected, stands accused of orchestrating a daring robbery that ultimately claimed the life of a bus driver.

The 17-year-old teenager has been arrested for the murder of an Inter Africa bus driver, Lembo Kembo, who had been sent to deliver a brand new cellphone to her.

The tragic turn of events occurred when the bus driver clung onto the vehicle, demanding payment, as the teenager sped away at high speed.

The teenager who resides in the NHB Section of Sakubva and her accomplice 32-year-old Linnet Kashiri of Area C, Dangamvura conspired to rob a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra from a phone seller.

The duo went on to order the cellphone online and were instructed to send the payment through Mukuru money transfer agency. However, they allegedly refused to comply.

As part of her plan to deceive the seller, the teenager convinced them to entrust the cellphone to a bus driver for delivery to Mutare and promised to give the bus driver the money upon receipt.
