In a shocking turn of events, a 41-year-old pastor has been apprehended after reportedly sexually assaulting and impregnating his 12-year-old stepdaughter. The man, whose identity remains undisclosed for ethical reasons, had been hiding in Beitbridge, Matabeleland South Province.

According to sources, the man began his alleged attacks on the minor in January of this year, effectively turning her into a victimized slave. He would strike whenever his wife was away, threatening her life if she ever dared to reveal the horrifying ordeal.
The pastor's sinister methods included placing a knife under the pillow before each assault on their matrimonial bed. His threats of violence further silenced the young girl, who suffered in silence until her physical symptoms became impossible to ignore.

Her concerned mother rushed her to the hospital, where medical examinations confirmed her pregnancy. The girl bravely revealed that her stepfather had raped her on multiple occasions.
On May 26, the mother confronted her husband about the matter, prompting him to flee their home. A week later, he sent WhatsApp audio messages confessing to the sexual attacks, blaming malevolent spirits for his actions.
Despite his promise to return and face the consequences, detectives apprehended him in Beitbridge, raising suspicions that he intended to flee to South Africa.
Inspector Glory Banda of the Matabeleland North Provincial Police emphasized the importance of reporting such crimes to the authorities rather than resorting to vigilante justice.
