Tubatse, Limpopo – A 45-year-old man has been arrested after human remains were discovered in a demolished pit toilet at a school in Ga-Riba village. The gruesome discovery was made on Thursday following a tip-off.

Limpopo police spokesperson, Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, described the incident as “disturbing.” A team of SAPS experts conducted an investigation on the school premises, leading to the shocking find. Mashaba said:
“Following a tip-off, a team of SAPS experts conducted an investigation on the school premises since Wednesday night, August 21, leading to the gruesome discovery of human remains. A thorough investigation was immediately conducted resulting in the apprehension of the suspect.”

The remains have not yet been identified, and forensic investigations are underway to determine the identity and cause of death.
The provincial commissioner of police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, welcomed the arrest of the suspected man. She urged community members to remain calm and allow the police to do their work.
The arrested man is scheduled to appear before the Praktiseer Magistrate's Court on Monday, facing a murder charge.
Burnt Human Remains Found in Westlea
In a similar incident in December, police in Limpopo discovered the brutally assaulted and partially burnt body of an unknown man in the bushes at Lefara Village. Police are still investigating that case and are seeking public assistance.
